I notice that I can't copy material from this new Board to my MSWord Program. I got the idea from the old Board and I've been collecting advice and ideas over the past year for the future when we buy our first bus and convert it from scratch.

I see that I can now search for posts by subject matter, but some valuable comments come "out of the blue" inside other topics. Also, after the loss of the old Board a few times, I'm not confident that old material will be safe. I even do back up copies of the file library I've collected from the old Board.

Is there any way to do this, or allow it to happen if it can't be done?

Bryan, I too keep a MS Word file of all the post I
want to save for future reference. All I do is highlight, right click, copy and paste to Word. I just tried it and it works for me.

Hi Bryan,

Try this, also.

Click on the topic and conversation thread that you wish to keep on your own computer. Then, right-click in any blank area of the right-side frame (where the message thread is). Select the "Open in New Frame" menu item.

The message thread then appears in its own browser screen. Utilize the "Select All" (or drag the computer mouse to highlight all desired text) and "Copy" menu items. Open your word processor to a blank page, then from the drop-down "Edit" menu, select "Paste". Save the resulting page in the usual way.

You can then collapse the bbs message page by clicking the "x" in the top right corner which, in turn, returns you to the original split-screen message board.

Regards,

Ian

Is there a way to copy the messages and also the sender's name? When I use the "open new frame" method or the regular "highlight and copy" method, they both cause a blue bar to appear which only gives a date, but no sender's name or, if there was one, a link to his/her email address within the blue bar as it is on the original. This could be a very important part of the message.
