I bought some Bali window blinds at Home Dept-- they are insulated by having double layers. Priced right, too. --Geoff '82 RTS CA |

Check on "Warm Shades" they may have a web site. The good stuff will fluf to an inch thick and have magnets that glue on the frame edges to seal the shades air tight to the coach interior wall. R-7 claimed is far better insulation and cheaper than the R-1.5 for doubble glass windows. The dual glass units do block more noise than the Warm Shades , better for scenic Flying J camping. Warm Shades or Warm Windows is a completely different product than pleated, insulated window blinds. It is a blanket type product, which can be made into permanent hanging blinds, but usually is usd as a stick on window blanket. It works very well; I have a set for my windshields, which are 5'h x 4'w. Problem is, it is relatively heavy and bulky and a pain to hang and take down for just 1 night. And, they block all light; then u need a place to store them. As Geoff points out, HD has a very good selection of horizontal pleated shades and at good prices, better yet if you catch a frequent sale. You order them custom sized for your windows and you can get day/nights or lined and insulated, which I have on my bedroom windows for blackout. I have matching sun/privacy shades on the other windows. I got mine from an RV furnishing dealer in Medford, Or. as part of the deal on my furniture but HD was my alternative. |
