http://www.rvtrader.com/rvdetail.php?id=114904 I've not seen a pic of ANYTHING remotely like it. It's a 35' pusher, clearly marked "GMC" and has some sort of stylized "S" on the front, has a Cummins 504NA V8 with a 5sp tranny and 2sp rear axle. Is this some sort of oddball skoolie with a roof raise? |

I do believe that "S" stands for Superior. |

Said right in the ad that it's a "GMC/Superior". GMC supplied the chassis, Superior built the body. Superior was a skoolie builder who also built buses for the military. This is probably an ex-USAF coach - used to see similar ones at Travis AFB. |

Ah. Would that be a steel body/skin setup or aluminum? 'Cuz in my mind that's a bitchin' drivetrain... |

That's the same one I have. The pictures are kind of dark, but it looks like it has the 2'x4' storage bays. It also has the slightly raised roof. It is a Superior. They are no longer made. Unless it has been altered, it has a leaf spring suspension. Superior had taken over an old military tank facility, and I once read that they actually dipped the entire shell before putting it on the chassis. Supposedly was very rust resistant, but they had some trouble with paint. |

WE have an old Superior MH and it is assembeled with galvanized sheet stock. The construction is EXCELLENT as it is one of the few MH that can take a rollover (std Skoolie construction). There arent many MH from the 60 or early 70's left , but Superior is one that still can be seen on the road. WE took ours to AK and it did fine 440 Chrysler MH engine & 727 tranny. Its still in our gargage , so when I get too old and inferm (hopefully another 10-20 years) to drive the "Sportscar Of Coaches" ,with manual steering & fuel efficent 4 speed , I won't have to degrade a fine coach with a invilid parts like a slushpump and wandering "power" steering. . WE will just sell it to someone with a 30 year outlook and go back to the 22ft Superior. Thats the plan, ONLY a Superior would be worth saving . FAST FRED |
