I was reading the MCI Service Manual about the interior of my MC-9, and I read something about an asbestos blanket or asbestos/fiberglass insulation by the engine. Can someone shed some light on that for me? I am finishing up the interior gutting of my coach, but have not yet removed the interior rear wall panels. What is my best course of action regarding that?

Thanks..... MR

Your best course of action is to let it live. It isn't a problem! The folks that got in trouble with asbestos got covered from head to toe with the stuff for years and years. You aren't going to do that. Are you?

I removed my interior on my MC9 last year and did not see any asbestos in the side walls or the back wall. I don't know if there is any in the engine compartment but all I saw was fiberglass on the interior. I did take precautions with a suit and mask. I figured the floor might have asbestos in it but have not checked for it.
