A guestimate would be..(cause I have 2 of them) Engine & accessories 2,700 lbs. (radiator incl.) Allison V730 ( without A/C compressor) 890 lbs. Cradle based on measurments and size material probably about 350 lbs. For an estimated 3,940 lbs. Somewhere I read once the 6V92TA is about 2,320 lbs by itself. Then add the alternator and cooling system. | ||

The chart says 3140lbs plus transmission 800lbs, let me take my shoes and socks off to add that up..........that comes up to 3940lbs, and DrDave that was a awesome estimate, i have a Detroit Diesel chart that shows each model,max bhp, intermittant bhp, length, width, height, and weight. My problem is i'm not computer friendly, and according to Ian, the file size is to large at 118kb.....to post on the board. I could email it to Ian, but i know he is swamped with the TwoDogs fan test! | ||
