I have seen the 30' 4106. One of the members of Western GM bus club had two of them. There were 3 made by GM. They were used on Pike's Peak to haul passengers to the top. They also had something like a 5.38(?) rear end. |

There wa one of them at Horizon Coach at Busin 2005. It looked kind of odd. It was for sale and had a pretty high price on it. Maybe someone else saw it. |

I believe one of these buses (painted green) was also up for sale on this website a couple of years ago. |

Saw a 4106 lengthened to 37 to 40 feet. Didn't have a tape measure; looked to be a pretty nice job from outside. Saw it at the Buffalo FMCA convention. When I took my camera back for pics., he was gone. |

We saw a lengthened 4106 also, at the Daytona Beach Turkey Rod Run one year. The owner had taken an entire bay from another bus and put it in the 4106. It was a beautiful conversion inside, too. |

As near as i been able to figure out the 30 ft 06 was made by a private company, there were three of them, i beleive there is only one left, they were built to do the pikes peak run, a man out west bought all three, one was destroyed, one was a basket case and he converted one, the green one, im told it is at horizon. They were all modified after GM built them. there is a photo on the cruisemagazine.com website Frank Allen 4106 |

" With an 8V71 it must go like hell" I was told the Piles Peak coaches had lower gearing too! so they should be great at acceleration , if not top speed . FAST FRED |

This is the very same bus I drove 16 hours to see/ buy and didn't! Had a few questionable items and no genset. Was only 40k when I looked about 3 years ago. It was a cutie tho....... |
