Dounan,
I also had a woble problem at the fly wheel. Pulled it down, found one bolt holding the fly wheel to the crank, all the rest sheard off.I attributed this to my lack of not using new bolts and not tighting them down correctly. Also 1000 miles Later the hormonic balancer came appart, evedently from
A) no one changed it out when the engine was rebuilt/adefinate recomodation from DDA.
B) The vibration transferd from the loose flywheel.
Please keep us informed.

john,
about 4 years ago i sheared all the bolts and pins while on my way back from huntsville, al. i had to landall it back to mass. from va.
that cost me a crank and bearings . that time when i pulled the trans. the fly and clutch with pressure plate actually fell off the engine to the ground.
today all the bolts where tight to the wrench--there is nothing obvious visually wrong. tomorrow i will pull the fly off, check what i see and then reapply and torque-- last time i didn't use the detriot torqueing compound, i will this time.
will let you know what goes on.

Dounan,

You said about 4 years ago you sheared the bolts and pins. Did you have to replace the flywheel then or did you reuse the old one?

The reason I asked is because your flywheel (if reused) might have the dial pin holes or the bolts holes wallowed out.

This happened to me a couple of years ago. I had to replace the rear main seal and discovered while putting the flywheel back that it was (pins & bolt holes) indeed wallowed out.

I had noticed that I had a vibration before then but thought it was in the driveline. After I replaced the flywheel......vibration eliminated.

When you go back with it....use 6 new bolts!

glenn ,
sorry to say i can't remember if i changed it . i know i did the p-plate and clutch.
tomorrow i will check the shed for the old one , if it's there - then i did. squirrel , i never get rid of stuff i gather.
i will check the holes , when i remove it tomorrow
i can't imagine that i reused it , as the end of the crank had been so thoroughly hammered
tomorrow will tell

follow up

well it is the flywheel thats bad, the holes are oblong and the crank side is not flat
it's the old fly from the broken crank.
now the hunt is on for a NEW or good one. i called luke today and am waiting for his call back. does anyone out there have a new fly wheel hanging around???
so , for now the camper is disassembled in the parking lot at work . i told the boss " oh 3-4 days that all". i had to do it there so i would have asphalt to work on.
