I just bought a 4104 with an 8KW water cooled diesel gen.

I never heard of this brand but everything I can find on the net seems to indicate it is pretty good.

The PO says it has a Kubota engine but I can't find the name anywhere except on the fuel and oil filters.

Anyone have any experiences with these?

Thanks.

Yes,

I have a Power-tech 15 kw. It is basically a Kubota with PowerTech name on it. Ours works great and has 14,000 hrs.

I had a 17.5 Power Tech for three years that I bought used and it worked great. It had a Kubota engine. I now have an 8 kw with the Cat engine and it also goes great. The service dept. is very helpful if needed. They are in Leesburg, Florida.

Just bought a 8kw with the Cat motor. Haven't used it much at all, but they were very nice to deal with.

I have a 12 kw Powertech with a Cat. I have had great luck so far. I would recommend this gen. to anyone looking for a very good and quite unit.

Thanks to all, and all are very positive, good news to this newbie!!

Another question, does anyone know of the best place in Arkansas for bus work and especially a good 671 mechanic?

I'm just about as close to Memphis as I am Little Rock. Also about the same distance from Springfield, MO

You might ask them if they have any used units. I got a slightly used unit for a good discount off retail price.
