If your going to use Transit Scrap , why bother with an Antique engine ?

The same bucks will get a DD Series 50 or Cummins or??

A modern 4 stroke will push the milage to 12 or more , although all transit scrap comes with fuel waisting slushpumps. Some are 5 speed tho.

You can use (modified) the entire cradle , rear axle with huge brakes and front spindles with sharp cut angle and those big transit brakes too!P/S if you need it for free (if you plumb it up).

This will bring the Sportscar of Coaches up another 45 years mechanically , and end the worry of 2 strokes eventually being outlawed by the smog Police.

The RTS engine will not work in the 4106 unless it is modified to the 45 degree tilt you need. This is not worth the trouble-- there are several other transits that have the tilt you need.

Here are some series 50 engines on esurplus. I know nothing about them. I see them on occasion on this site.
