I was just thinking about what to use on my head liner and thought that rhino liner would be kind of neat and very durable. And may consider using it on my whole roof (external). Any body tried this or know of any reason not to? I'm finishing my floor and short walls in my drivers compartment tonight. I ended up using stick down black and white square lanolium tile for steps and floor, and a very fine knap carpet for the risers and short walls up to main floor. I'll get my vinyl for my dash tomorrow and hope to finish it then but my parents are coming to town tomorrow also for my daughters surgery Wed. so that may slow me down a bit. I'll post some more pictures this week.

If it is only available in black, could make the inside of the bus hotter in the summer. Had a car once with a black vinyl roof and black interior. You could fry a burger on the dashboard in the summer. Had to open both doors and let the air blow through for ten minutes before it was safe to enter.

You are joking about RhinoLiner for the headliner, right? CeramiCoat would be a much better choice for the roof.

I saw it advertized in the Eastwood catalog available in colors other than black.

You wouldn't apply it to the roof nearly as thick as you would in a pickup bed.

I used it to coat my rear wheel wells on my '48 Clipper. One gallon did both rears.

Used the ceramic mixed in with the clear on my bus roof, not preffered but how it worked out, bus was sitting in the sun broad side this after noon and when you walked in it was tolerable and the mid room was cool. The rhino lining in the spray cans works pretty good, was used on the mirrors and black-out under the wheel wells, they used the duplicolor brand in cans that you get at your favorite national auto parts chain. as far as head liner, I think it comes in a white and colors, will look textured after done but you had better like it. Reccommend trying it on your truck or scrap. Clean up will be easy too if it gets dirty. Let us know how it turns out. My vinyl headliner is torn and in need of repair/replace. Look into fumes/outgasing to make sure it safe for indoor use.

ahhhh no, you dont want to use that stuff on the roof..
go to a roofing supply house, ask for uniflex roof coating, henery, weatherbarrior..anything but the rhino.
darker the color..tremendous heat..rhino does not come in white..unless its new.
and make sure you clean it with 2500 to 3000 psi of water before you do anything..if its not clean..it will peel off..

You may want to call Line-X. I have a Line-X white coating on the roof of my Discovery. Fantastic. Nothing bad about it yet. Also had front sprayed with smooth color match. Easy to clean and no dings. Going to put it on the H3.

Why would I be kidding about using it on the headliner. It is tough and dourable plus keeps with that garagy theme I'm using in my bus. as far as I know it is available to match just about any major color. I'm only talking about the drivers area head liner.

I met a guy that did the exterior walls of his Crown with light brown/tan rhinoliner. It was certainly textured, but looked good in its own way. It certainly seals up everything and covers bodywork shortcomings. I do not remember if he had it on the roof too. The white elastomeric stuff seems to work just fine for that.

For a cool temp roof Rustoleum white is about $20 a gal , and rolls on just fine with an enamel roller.

Won't help a leaky teaky tho,
