hey,
bought this great mci 9 originally from new jersey transit. drove it home happily started ripping "unneeded""useless" wires. pulled this box out from under the seat, looked like an alarm of some kind. oh well i thought don't need that!

OK so now my bus don't start.
quit laughing. my wife wants to impale my head on a stick and use it for a hood ornament.

oh yea how do i fix this thing.

Can you put it all back like it was?

Then pull one thing at a time - testing systems as you go to ensure you are not removing a critical component?

If wires have been cut and all mixed up so that you have no way of reversing your steps, start trying to locate and trace what is happening. . . do coach systems energize at all? Does starter get juice? and so on. . . get a schematic if you can.

Sorry I can't be of more help. I don't know any specifics about your bus, just general principles on how to isolate systems etc.

Hi Scott:
Max offers some good advise.
The NJT coaches were quipped so that you must be sitting in the driver's seat in order to start the bus. That is certainly not a revelation to you at this point in time, but I offer it to others who no doubt will buy these coaches over the next few years.
If you don't figure out your problem (with your head intact), you can hit on my name at the beginning of this post & E-Mail me.
I have a complete manual for the NJT 1987 models and perhaps I can save you a bunch of grief.
If I have the info you need & as a result you solve your problem, then you can come back to this Board & share with all, how the problem is fixed which will help the next guy.
I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!

Hi Max,

I suggest that you dispose of your wife and stick next!
