I have configured 4, Trojan 12 volt Superior Cycling J185H batteries as 24 volts to my Vannier 4500 inverter. What would be the +,- to adding a 5th battery? I would connect it parell to one of the existing. |

Absolute waste of money. Adding one battery will make usage & wear on the ones not paired much greater than the parallel pair. The 3 unpaired batterys will fail much before the paired pair. However adding groups of 4 more will allow much less deep cycles for all, hence is good. Regards Jerry 4107 1120 |

Hello Joe. Yup, what Jerry said. The battery set must be balanced and symetrical or you will ruin your batteries prematurely. happy coaching! buswarrior |
