I've removed the valves, solenoids, etc for cleanup from the front compartment of my MCI 102 and was wondering if someone could identify the individual parts for me. There is some sort of solenoid valve with a small air line on the left, another solenoid valve below a shut off
Vv(large air connection above) on the right of it, some sort of a drain valve in the middle(external toggle switch attached) and a pressure regulator on the right with another shut off valve and an air connection at the top . I've checked the book (parts and mtce) and can't find a description. I would like to remove the kneeling function, thus remove the pieces I don't need. I can e-mail a picture if it can help someone to identify the components.
Thanks...Tim

Hello Tim.

Send the pictures, and I'll get the mechanics at the coach company have a go at identifying them.

happy coaching!

To bad that u have already cannibalized it, with the addition of 1 more solenoid valve and 1 DPDT switch you could have had the front end of an over-riding 3 pt. park leveling system. Generally, all that is needed to complete the front end part is a single solenoid valve to switch air source and a switch to control it.

I echo Jim's comments, and wonder why people are so quick to remove the kneel function instead of adding to it and the rear air bags so they can have a leveling system on their bus. It sure makes camping on unlevel ground a lot better, not to mention getting on and off the bus without having to have a step stool.

Who said anything about cannibalizing things? I mentioned I've removed them for clean up. I mentioned I would like to remove the kneeling function, but maybe I'll keep it now after the comments.
Jim, how about some additional info on the 3pt levelling system?

Tim-- use the search feature on this board for leveling systems and you will have all the information you need on making up your own system.

James Maxwell-

I too thought of removing the kneeling feature because when my 1981 Grumman kneels (as a result of air leak) and the fuel tank is full. Diesel spills out the filler pipe. :-( Is there a way to pump more air into it? Without starting the engine again?

Thanks.
