The fuel filters on my MC9 are located on the inside of the lower frame rail, passenger side. I'm thinking that this is a good location to take a rock on the road. They could also be a little more accessable. Any reason I could not relocate these higher, to a more convenient and safer location, or do they have to be low? Michael |

your bus has very likely gone hundreds of thousands of miles without a problem with the located right there. Why move them? since that's the standard location for them, the chances are good that mci 9s have travelled tens of millions of miles without a problem. |

Michael - First, I agree with Bruce - MC-9s have gone millions of miles with the fuel filters located where yours are. If it was a problem location, the factory would have moved them a long time ago. OTOH, if you want to make a change, I suggest you ditch both filters in favor of one of the Fuel Pro units. Much easier to deal with, plus you can visually tell when the filter's due for changing. Do a Google search for more info. HTH, RJ PD4106-2784 Fresno Ca |
