I wanted to clarify whether I need 2 sets of Magnetic lights for use with my 24 volt bus, or just one set with multi filament 24v bulbs in them..For some reason I was thinking I needed one set for stop lights/tail lights and one set for blinkers...Could someone clarify? Thanks.

Although ours ae 12 volt, we only use one set for everything. I do not see why you would need to do more than just change the bulbs.

Sean -

If your coach has amber turn signals on the rear, it would be a whole lot easier to do the same for the mag lites on the toad - wiring wise.

One set of red for tail/brake. One set of amber for turn. Amber lenses should be available at your local HD truck parts house.

Might find one of those units that has two lights per magnetic base. Tow truck supply???

So you are saying I have to use 2 sets RJ? Is there a way to make one set work?

One set would be ideal, especially if, like I mentioned before, there were two lights on each magnetic base. Then you could retain your separate amber turn signals and combo brake/tail.

Otherwise, you can get an adapter gizmo from almost any place that sells towing equipment (RV store, U-Haul, Hitch Dealer, etc.) to convert the "amber turn, red tail/brake" circuitry to "red turn/tail/brake" to use in the mag lites.

HOWEVER -

These gizmos work on 12vdc - you'll fry them with 24vdc. Dunno if they're made in 24vdc. . . perhaps some other readers will know.

This topic (12v trailer lights w/ 24v bus) has been hashed over numerous times. Search the archives for more.

One set of lamps , with 24V bulbs installed will be the easiest to live with.

CARRY A SPAIR SET OF 24v BULBS AS THERE NOT AT EVERY STORE!

All will have sockets for 2 filament bulbs.
