It's an MC-9 but that's all I know. Where is the other info so I can match oil & air filters, etc. |

An MCI should have a compliance plate mounted behind the driver's seat on the ceiling just above the windows. It will have date of manufacture, VIN and unit # GVWR, etc. All of this should be enough information to identify it for parts. Having a parts manual is useful because when parts have been changed it will list which series the parts apply to. DaveD |

The engine info is more important than the chassis info when looking for filters and other engine stuff. Engine change-outs occur all the time in the bus industry. Just because you have an '81 MC-9, doesn't mean the engine is necessarily an '81. I had a '75 MC-8 that had a '83 8V71 engine. Engines are on the shelf in many bus garages so they can get swapped out in an 8 hour shift. Jim |
