the shifting rod on my 4104 snapped just above the differential. the shifting rod is not a rod but is thin walled tubing the protective covering had a worn spot that allowed moisture in and caused corrosion and it snapped clean.

the inside diameter is 3/8 so i put in 6 inches of 3/8 threaded rod 3" in either side with epoxy I also epoxied a sleeve on the outside. i hope it lasts???
