I need help guys! no one around here knows about 4905's with Spicer 4spds. I have a '73 4905 entertainer coach, 8v71, Spicer 4spd w/electric reverse. It's my first bus and I'm learning diesel mechanics as I go. I don't know the names of the parts I'm about to refer to...so please bear with my slang... Recently broke the pin that holds the 1st/2nd gear shifter "swivel" on top of the tranny. Fixed the pin, but now it won't stay in 2nd or reverse. The rod that this "swivel" activates is sticking out of the tranny case about an inch more than it used to. Can this rod be pushed back in, or is something about to let go of it from inside? Also wondering if improperly adjusted shift linkage could've caused all this? |

That was the last listed address at the site I found, TD. No "humor" intended: http://www.usroadservice.com/TxAmarillo.html This site: http://thebusinesslocator.com/search.asp?supercat=1&cat=1&subcat=4&page=81 Found this: Doctor Detroit - 401 Casino Dr, Amarillo, TX 79118-3860 - (806) 371-0202 But it was the only site that had a different address listed. The area code is all that was asked for.. Uhh... this some "fly-by-night" outfit? |
