Yesterday was a sad day in Waycross, GA for fans of Greyhound. The last bus left the terminal, never to return. Our terminal, as well as 44 others in GA, shut down after generations passed thru them. My 12 year old, Jonathan,and I were there to photograph this sad occasion and to shake the hand of David Story, the last driver to ever stop here. I talked to my mom in Alabama and she said many terminals were closed there as well. The end of an era...Sherryd4104 |

In this day and age of extraordinarily high fuel prices, what better thing for gubberment to do, than to ignore the needs of mass transportation? |

'Da gummint don't owne grayhound, and the last time there wuz a vote in Congress for a transpotation subsidy for them and grayline tours and evergreen stages in the northwest there was a hew and cry fronm the generul publick not to do it. Next day Congress voted 7 billion dollars for a space probe to Uranus and to fix the hubbel telescop taht we had paid for once alreddy. Go Figger. akrom |
