Planning of going to Mexico for the Winter, would like to know what Brand of Oil I can expect to find for my 903 Cummins with 350 HP, that is also
easy to find in the States. Any other Info of running a Diesel down south would be highly appreciated , since this is my first Trip. Thank you in Advance.

I think I'd take enough of my favorite oil along from home. There's no telling what kind of pricing you might find even if you did find the right oil.

That is good advice. I've never had my bus in Mex, but I've been there plenty of times. Hard to get some things we take for granted. I'd throw a case of oil and a case of tranny fluid in a bay and have a n'worries trip! Probably wouldn't hurt to have some spare fuel filters, an oil filter and other consumables on hand too. . .

Enjoy,
Scott

depending on where you chose to fuel , some folks prefer to use a "Baha Filter", just a funnel with VERY fine screening , that will catch dirt and even water.

I would take extra filters for the DD , and know how to install them.

Jurgen You would be wise to take enough oil with you from home. Oil is relatively expensive in Mexico . Last year 45 pesos per liter for good quality 40 weight. However it is available at all pemex stations. Diesel is readily available at the bigger stations and I have never had a problem with fuel in the last six years.

P.S. 45 pesos is about $5.00 U.S.

I would advise getting enought pesos to pay for fuel before reaching the station. Fuel is reasonable but I had problems with station exchange rates and they normally don't take credit cards.
