To those wonderful Bus experts, can you tell me the original color of the Detroit 8V71 Block is/was?

I am building a model Peterbilt COE 352 with a stock Detroit Diesel.

In 1979 had a brand new truck with a 8V71 which was red.

yep....Gus informed me that peterbuilts had red engines...did not know that..
