You heard it here first... If you like to explore the earth, you must see Google Earth. It's a software application that works *only* with Windows, (the lesser of the operating systems ;) and requires a minimum of 200Mb of HD space and a broadband connection. I've seen it in action and it's great. But, your computer must be "up to speed"; Req: Win XP CPU Pentium P$ 2.4 Ghrz Ram 512 2 GB HD space 3D Graphic card 3D video card W. 32 mb Vram Screen color 1280 x 1024 Cable/Hi speed internet and I'm temporaily lacking in 1 of those areas :-( | ||

Try backing ALL the way out. Notice that you also can watch the stars in relation to what the sattelite sees. You can also give the earth a "spin" and it and the starscape will rotate. Try low altitude "flying" The middle button on the mouse makes the movements of the mouse trackball pan the camera. You then can use the "paddle" below the screen to "fly" | ||
