I was reading the MCI Service Manual about the interior of my MC-9, and I read something about an asbestos blanket or asbestos/fiberglass insulation by the engine. Can someone shed some light on that for me? I am finishing up the interior gutting of my coach, but have not yet removed the interior rear wall panels. What is my best course of action regarding that? Thanks..... MR |

Your best course of action is to let it live. It isn't a problem! The folks that got in trouble with asbestos got covered from head to toe with the stuff for years and years. You aren't going to do that. Are you? |

I removed my interior on my MC9 last year and did not see any asbestos in the side walls or the back wall. I don't know if there is any in the engine compartment but all I saw was fiberglass on the interior. I did take precautions with a suit and mask. I figured the floor might have asbestos in it but have not checked for it. |
