Hi All, Just got back from my first long road trip. 1800 miles and the 4905 ran great. I was pleasently surprised that it almost used no oil(less than a quart). The only issue I had was with my rear brake relay valve.(halfway thru trip) It was stuck and sent the air to exhaust when the brakes where depressed. After I replaced it I discovered an air line leak and after additional checking decided to replace every rubber brake hose.(if you havn't, do it) I would really like to thank Luke and Bill at U.S. Coach for their help and being some of the best friends a converter could have. As always they went out of there way to help. I loved driving the bus at highway speeds and found I averaged 7.9mpg at 70 and 9.5mpg at 60. Also, RJ longs tips on driving a bus with a spicer should be in the front of the GM owners manuals, worked perfect. Cliff 75-4905A-1160 |

Congratulations on your road trip and the fun you had rolling down the highway. May this be just one of countless trips you enjoy with your coach. I picked up my new (old) Eagle in Anaheim three weeks ago and made 1545 miles on the trip home. A tip I learned: driving a new coach down a 6-lane freeway when fans are leaving an Angels baseball game is not optimum fun. Best of luck with your "relationship" between you and your coach. Does it have a name yet? |
