I have looked in the archives on this much beaten up subject. Has anyone found a reasonably priced 3/4" 12 V DC zone valve? ASCO makes a dandy for $165 ea N/C and $255 ea N/O. I'm trying to get a better deal. Thanks Larry |

Damn, at that price I better order a six pack of valves just in case I ever figure out what one of those things does! :-) Craig - MC7; currently solar self-heating to 100F. Sometimes the rain stops in Oregon. |

Larry, It's much easier to find 120 vac zone valves. I'm using a three way Honeywell valve to allow my water heater to run, both on the engine heat and Webasto, and bypass the fan heat exchangers in the summer. This valve is hooked to a "summer/winter" switch. I chose this particular valve because it draws no power unless it is moving from one position to the other. I figured that I don't want hot water going through all those heat exchangers when I'm trying to cool the bus in the summer. In the winter I'll control the fans to implement my 2 zones of heating + the water heater. Regards Jerry 4107 1120 |
