help...radiator shot.. both tanks shot...overheating...what other GMC model rads will fit or where can I buy a complete radiator???? |

try a good radiator shop. for a reasonable price they can build you a new radiator using whatever is salvagable from yours |

Any radiator shop that does truck radiators can replace the core. I fixed my aluminum tanks where they were corroded at the flanges by sandblasting the corrosion out then repairing with JB Weld. Filed it down smooth. No problems in 7500 miles/2 years. If your core is just clogged but sound, you can rod it out yourself or have the shop do it. When you reassemble, use a good flush, then refill cooling system with DISTILLED water & proper antifreeze. Carry some distilled water for topping up & your batteries. Jim-Bob |

tanks in bad shape...spent its whole life in Texas...lots of minerals in water and aluminum did not take it well...corroded nearly to gone 3 old repairs left really gapping holes when vatted...shop would be happy to recore but tanks really bad....Don't want to have to engineer new tanks will if have to... |
