I have a 1964 4106 8V-71 stock injectors and timming with a freshly rebuilt VS2-8 with lowered gears and a top speed of 69 mph at sea level I have been between 5000 11,000 ft elevation ( The Rockies) for about 3 months now and I have noticed that when I run near the governor the Bus is jerky until I drop the throttle a little I think it is a elevation problem any ideas.

Until recently I did not notice the jerky feeling the governor would just stop the acceleration and also top speed has decreased to about 64 mph maybe it is just me :-)

Sorry, I should have reread your post. Have you ever checked the vanes in your blower for damage?

SkySlayer, it seems to me that if the injectors cut off at slightly different rack positions, you would have some jerkiness from misfires near governed speed.

At lower RPM, they might only pump a slightly different amount of fuel, which you might not notice.

I would think someone with a lot of DD two stroke experience would be able to sort this out for you.
