Hi guys. What a small and wonderfull world the busnut comunity is. Way back in 1997, We met a man named Herb Bates, in a campground in gettysburg on the east coast. We were then full time Workampers, and seeing the wonderful job he had done on the "Bates Motel" we decided we would really love to do the same.Now eight years later, and after having done over three stick and staples rigs we bought our bus and started our conversion. and we are currently in a campground in Santa Barbara Ca. and two rows over is, you guessed it. the "bates motel" as nice now as it was then. and a real pleasure to see it again and talk to Herb.After all, He is the man who got us to start living our dream. |
