Does anyone know the engine horsepower of the blue colored 6v92 engines that the New Jersey Transit were using with manual unit injectors.

Thanks
Gary C.

My chart shows only two 6v92's, 6v92Ta is 475bhp, and the 6v92 is rated at 291bhp, now i'm not sure if DD made a special engine for the New Jersey Transits! These are the maximum ratings the intermittant ratings are 6v92Ta is 334bhp, and the 6v92 is 270bhp!

Pat, I think the 475 HP version is the 8V92TA MUI version.

The highest "bus version" in the 6V92 was 350.

Other applications like fire engines and Marine applications may have pulled more out of the engine, but the TBO time between overhaul and fule mileage goes way down.
