Now that I have finally found some good comfortable seats (94 LHS) Whats the best way to get the height on the drivers side ,co-pilot should not be bad because it would be on the wheel hump (4104) Any ideas would be appreciated -----------Bill 4104-4032

Bill,
You will probably have to fabricate your own mounts. I found the original MCI mount too tall for the Chrysler seats . I have some mounts with swivels out of a custom van that are also to tall. Have to cut them to fit but will still use them so that I can pivot around while parked. Also have some great aluminum post that I have adapted to fit. Mounts and brackets will most likely have to be custom made. Dale Hendricks , Temple , Tx

just go to a truck junkyard & find an air ride seat with a torn up seat..take the old seat off & mount your new seat to the air ride mechanisum,it's adjustable up & down & for firmness,if you find one with a torn seat, fifty dollars should buy it...

The problem you are going to find IF you listen to 2d is that the car seat mounting holes are not the same as truck air ride seat mounting holes. What ever you do you are going to end up having to weld up your own mount at the height you want. Fabricatng mounts for the driver and passenger is not hard if you have basic welding equipment (and a little practice).

I would add a delco 6-way power inbetween the air ride and the seat. UNLIMITED positions !!!!!!

It already has 2 electric motors in the seat. I ordered 2 universal seat swivels from JC Whitney so I will those for the base and then just go from there.Bill 4104-4032

Bill, we have Racaro air ride seats in our 4104, they are take outs from a transit buses that i got for scrape. they are a very expensive seat new[$3,000] Can. new. they are the only seats that the transit company in our area will use in their buses. they reduced the back sick days by 92%from what they were 5 years ago. now when any new buses come in they must be equiped with the Racaro seat for the driver. they are far better than some junk yard car seat and you may never find on in a trucking yard as they are too expensive even for the long haul trucks. these are the guys that buy them from me when i get them , that is after the bus guys get theirs. so try and locate a transit co. that hase them in their buses that they are sending to the salvage yard.

I have seen transits sell for under $1000 with these seats in them. If you have the space and time you could buy the transit for the seat. Then put in any old seat and sell it on Ebay for $1500.
