Has anyone found a paint that comes "close" to the anodized aluminum look on the 70's GMC's. Doesn't have to be be perfect. I got my hands on some nice baggage doors with some small bondo patches on em. Would look great, but don't want to paint the whole door, then I'd have to paint the whole bus, and so on, and so on...Would like to touch up these spots and put these doors on the drivers side. |

There is a bus bodyshop on Tonelle Ave. in Jersey City, NJ called Hudson Body. They did a complete rehab of a 1962 fishbowl including painting and clearcoating the silversiding. Looked better than new. |

Rustoleum makes several shades of silvers. I found the one called Aluminum to be too bright, however the one called "Stainless" is a pretty decent match. I touched up some hatch covers with it (Sewer line and AC feed) and I'm happy with them. WEC4104 |
