What is the average interior headroom for a converted coach? I am looking at one with 6'8". I am 5'11' for reference. Is that enough, is it about average?

I would think they would provide you with plenty of space not to hit your head.

Heh. I'm 6'4". All too many of the lower-cost rigs I looked at (classic GMCs, Bluebirds, etc) had 6'2 or 6'3" clearance...sigh.

6'8" when you're 5'11? *Physically* no problem at all! AC ducts will deduct about 3" or so tops in some areas, you'd still be good. It'll be less headroom than you're used to in a house and if you have "issues" with smaller spaces you could run into trouble. Personally, I'd be fine and running a stock-sized roofline can be a major boost to the rig's structural integrity. Too many roof-raise jobs are badly engineered.

Thats a lot of room. While you can never be too rich or thin or have enough headroom, that is a generous amount as buses go.

I have about 6'6" minus my finished floor, minus my headliner. My buddy who is 6'5", will have to be careful, but I too am 5'11", and am quite happy with it.

Hello Kevin.

You are fine.

I'm 6'4" and running a stock roof MC8.

You learn when to duck and when to slouch.

happy coaching!

35' Prevost Champion:
No roof raise. Except for the roof air conditioner, the finished height at the center is 6'4-1/2". About 1" is lost due to air space between the suspended headliner and roof insulation.
