Hey Fellas, I'll be picking up the new blower and gaskets for the 6V92TA this week. Here is a list of some of the other things I'm gonna be doing: 1) Change coolant and filter. 2) Change engine oil and filter. 3) Change differential oil. 4) Change power steering filter. 5) Repair small hose leak on water pump. 6) I need to change the air filter. What I don't know is the filter number. Can anyone give me a number so I can cross it over to a Baldwin filter? By the way, the tow bill for the 30 mile tow ended up costing us $400.00. Beats replacing an engine. LOL If anyone can come up with an air filter number..I'd appreciate it. Glenn Tallulah Falls, Ga. |

Got an update: Picked up the new (rebuilt) blower today. I didn't have to pay a core charge. They determined our old blower housing was OK to rebuild. That saved us $500.00. The new blower cost us $600.00 and has a 1 yr. warranty. Gasket set was another $60.00. I also picked up new 'O' rings for the turbo and aftercooler. All in all...not to bad.
