We got the new blower on last night and got the ole girl cranked up. Everything went well and she sounds real good. But, I've got a question. About a year ago when we first purchased the NJT MC-9, I had a question as to what I need to use in the power steering. I was told that 10W oil is what to use. Yesterday as I was changing out the filter the fluid looked more like transmission fluid. Now I'm confused as to what I need to use. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks for you help. Glenn |

MCI started out using 10w and changed the specs to 10w40w. Two bus garages I've had it to, said to use whatever is being used in the engine. So.... Straight 40, it's been, for me.. MCI specs |

Thanks John My book said the same thing (10W). I hope mixing the two won't cause any problems. I'll get in touch with Luke Tuesday. Again, thanks. Glenn Tallulah Falls, Ga. |

Glen: My MC9 has transmission fluid in the power steering. There was a thread somewhere that suggested it was used in cold climates. My bus came from a fleet that runs in northern Manitoba,so it makes sense. I wouldn't mix the two. |

Thanks for the info Wayne. I've probably only added about a pint since last year. Like I posted earlier...I'll call Luke tomorrow. Glenn |
