Being the hobby junkie that I am, I frequent many electronic surplus sites.
Here is an Audiovox LED screen with stereo sound, 5" screen, intended use was for a DVD player in a car. The price is under $100. I think it would work well for back up camera screen. Probably need to have the camera look at the reflection from a small mirror to get the proper perspective on the screen.

We have four of these that plug into a head unit and via standard connections throughout the coach... to keep our three rugrats entertained on our ventures. They also work for backup camera, games screen, etc.
You can find them on the ePlace for about $40 - $50, even less in "bulk" like us.
