I changed over to the Shepherd steering on a 4106. Looks like it would work well on the 4501. Anyone done it? Are drag links available? Nimco has the box but says they are left or right turning. Might be a good antitheft device to use the wrong one. Like steering a boat with a tiller. Will the 4106 replacement work or would the 4104 (which turns opposite) be the choice.
All advice is greatly appreciated and seldom adhered to.

Both have driver positions forward of the front axle.

I'd pick the one that mimics the 4501, (don't know personally) Pitman Arm down from sector shaft or up? Direct to spindle or via a bellcrank? Pitman Arm on inside or outside of box?

I suggest, as to a anti-theft device, that you rely on something that "takes place" before the theif has it running and moving.

I have seen them on the 4501, you can tell which way it goes by looking at the propeller shaft on the one you have, im not sure which way but it can be done
