Hey all,
In order to properly seal the seam where in the roof and the windshild come together I will need to remove the left center and right first pieces of the roof. When I remove them I will clean all the mating serfaces. At that point should I just put the pieces back with polyeurathane put directly on the bare metal or should I prime the metal first ,or what?
Oh by the way the 'Bywaylady'is a gorgous old crown.

Hi Doug
I don't know that there is a "only one way". I will tell you how I did my roof raise. I cleaned everything well, primed the steel with self etching primer, then spread butyl caulk from tubes purchased at the lumber yard in between each layer, then riveted as OEM did. Feel it is secure and waterproof. Good luck
