I have emailed Fred Hobe in Florida. He has someone who will do an MCI for $300.00. It may be worth flying this person out to CA, housing them and having them work the buses lined up to get polished. I will update when I hear back from Fred. Thanks Grant |

Expect to get what you pay for. The polishing time for a new Prevost according to one of the converters is forty hours. That process is a multi-step task that involves multiple grades of jeweler's rouge. An inept polisher can apply too much heat in a concentrated area resulting in buckling of the sheet metal. |

I agree with the general comment of "you get what you pay for" however, I have faith that Fred would not turn fellow busnuts on to someone that he personally would be concerned about. Thanks for the input. Grant |

keep us posted Fred and anyone else that can come up with some good ideas. I agree it takes at least 40 hours to polish a Prevost. The skin is very thin and a novice can ruin it real quick. |

Just remember that truck stops are generally polishing aluminum. There is a lot of difference in polishing techniques annd materials for polishing stainless. Richard |

O.K. Fred says come visit sunny Florida. "Little chance" the guy would travel. So, we need to look for somebody on the West side with experience or back up the babies and the old.... Grant |

Grant, I would love to come back to the West Coast. I used to do this kind of work for fun. Now it's more like work & my body don't recoup as easy. Can't wait for my boys to get a little older. 11, 13 & 3. I can put them in business polishing coaches.............. |
