My Eagle 10 (1984) is running about 10 degrees warmer that it has during the past 7 years. I plan to flush the radiator and hope it helps. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks.

Go to DD and buy the 2 part flush kit, unfortunatly its enough for 2 or 3 busses , but you need it every couple of years anyway.

IDELING will NOT do anything , you must drive the coach to get it to temp and well circ the cleaner.

DO run the heater and defroster , as they can be helped by cleaning too.

Then use the neutralizer , AGAIN driving the coach for at least 1/2 hour after it warms up.

Then flush at least 2X with house water, and completly empty the system. There ARE drains on the heater & defroster cores ALL IN Da BOOK!

Finally refill with DIESEL antifreez and DISTILLED water to 50/50 if you live up north , or 35% antifreez the rest disttilled water if you live where extra cooling is needed , and -40F isn't a problem.

The antifreez mfg recomend this every other year , but most bus folk only do it after the engine wont cool . Every 3rd or 4th year might be prudent.

You are a national/natural resource. Thanks for sharing the stuff you so often and so freely. A post from you is almost always a keeper.

What kind of bus do you have, and what's your background? I've seen your posts in a lot of places, for years.

I have the Sports car of Coaches a GM PD 4106.

Background is as "fan$y bus driver" (Navy & airline pilot)taught me its better to maintain anything than attempt to cheat on PM.

I LOVE Da Book , it kept me well for 25,000 airborne hours.

And serves well on the Sportscar too!
