The responses I gotten here have been the best. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU I'd like to post some pictures of the process here, is that possible? I did put some up on the MCI Bus Nuts forum at Yahoo, look for "mci_m1c2". There is a sub album named "Air Conditioner Installation". You have to be a member of the group to see them. The ceiling is out, the insulation is out, the ACs are on the roof. The most fun so far was getting the 100 lbs ACs on the roof. I live alone. I wanted to get more done, but, I ran out of beer. Tomorrow will be another bright, warm day. I'll keep you posted. John | ||

Hey John, in addition to your understandable concern about aerodymanics,  while you weren't looking, a cactus grew out of your roof! Good job on hefting them up there. That's the sort of homegrown 'do-what-ya-gotta-do' solution I'll be doing. | ||

Hi Chuck, I noticed the cactus. I'll keep it if I can figure out where to put the guy wires during travel. Do you think it's over the height limits? I've posted more pictures on the AC adventure over on yahoo "mci_m1c2" "Air Conditioner Installation". The Front unit is in and working as I type. I'd be happy to discuss the process if anyone is interested. I'll do the rear unit in a couple of days, without the fanfare. John |
