__. Does anyone have any experience with an S-W "Intellisensor" fuel level sensor? I do not have any fuel guage on my bus and I want to add one. About what was the cost (ballpark estimate OK)?
Thanks, Bruce Henderson, Wallace NC

You can add a non-Intellisnsor for about $100.00, or less. Standard 24V fuel gauge about $30 and rheostat sender about $40. They are easy to install, and you may, depending on your bus, have a wire dead ended in the fuel tank area for that purpose. The hard part is finding the wire. If you have an MCI I can advise how to get a gauge wire to the dash. Any other type coach, then someone else will have to assist with the wiring.
How far is Wallace from Charlotte? I put one in my bus for $79 dollars. And it works fine. I don't trust it below 1/4... but it is accurate, the fuel's there...pickup may not be.
If you have specific questions on MCI fuel gauge pmail me or use this site...good with me.
My daytime phone is 704.283.8586. Ask for JR. I can offer assistance on MC9s. Don't know
Bo about any other coach. What sort of coach do you own?

__. Hi, JR. Thanks for your reply. First thing -- my vehicle is a British-built double decker bus. It was built without a fuel guage at all so I'm adding from scratch.
__. One issue may be there is no premade location or port in the tank, so I'm going to have to fabricate a hole and fittings. Having looked at S-W and other websites, I'm guessing the best thing is going to be a SAE-standard flange (this would take care of both a float-type rheostat and also Intellisensor). I have already installed a secondary 12v system, so there's either 24V or 12V available.
__. Wallace is about 40 miles north of Wilmington, just off I-40. But the bus is at USBus co in Charlotte. There are a couple of charter coach operations on Craighead Rd, just off Graham Rd. -- USBus is about 1/2 mile from Graham on Craighead. I'm heading up there right now, I should be there after 3:00 PM and I'll be there all day tomorrow working on the bus. *Everything* on my bus is different from North American coaches but if you'd like to stop by and have a look at what I have, you're welcome to drop in anytime.
__. Thanks again for your reply.

Rich

When the hell are you guys going to get off your "Rusty Dusty" and publish a catalog.

I know it costs a lot of bucks to do so, but... I cannot imagine the bucks that will start rolling in if and when it happens.
