The new Google tool bar @ http://toolbar.google.com/ is a great help when entering information on this board or any other. Simply click on the spell check arrow and it will point out all (or most) of your typos. Richard |

dounanpm - Rectum? Damned neared killed 'em! I was surprised to learn of the amount of people that do not post for fear of their lack of knowledge of correct spelling, punctuation, or grammer. Hell, My gramma's not perfect. She's dead, actually. Good woman when she was alive, tho... And my punctuation? I've been late to more events than I can count. Post, man. Don't fear "the correctors". They have sexual issues that you or I don't suffer (much). Mom said I'd go blind if I kept doing it. Now I can';t cee whut I tyep/ |

Ever seen the experiment if you spell the first and last letter of words in a sentence you can read it completely. For me it has been so many years I do not remember many of the grammer rules. So I fly by the seat of my pants a lot. Do not even use some words because I have forgotten how to spell them. The joys of too many strokes and age. Oh well must laugh about it as I no longer consider this the important stuff in life, but would like to have it at least readable. I use spell check but did not know how to do it on posts like this. Thank you Richard !!! |

A Plan for the Improvement of English Spelling by Mark Twain For example, in Year 1 that useless letter "c" would be dropped to be replased either by "k" or "s", and likewise "x" would no longer be part of the alphabet. The only kase in which "c" would be retained would be the "ch" formation, which will be dealt with later. Year 2 might reform "w" spelling, so that "which" and "one" would take the same konsonant, wile Year 3 might well abolish "y" replasing it with "i" and Iear 4 might fiks the "g/j" anomali wonse and for all. Jenerally, then, the improvement would kontinue iear bai iear with Iear 5 doing awai with useless double konsonants, and Iears 6-12 or so modifaiing vowlz and the rimeining voist and unvoist konsonants. Bai Iear 15 or sou, it wud fainali bi posibl tu meik ius ov thi ridandant letez "c", "y" and "x" -- bai now jast a memori in the maindz ov ould doderez -- tu riplais "ch", "sh", and "th" rispektivli. Fainali, xen, aafte sam 20 iers ov orxogrefkl riform, wi wud hev a lojikl, kohirnt speling in ius xrewawt xe Ingliy-spiking werld. |

For the real addict and pseudo-perfectionist, programs like MS Word and Microsoft's Front Page, or similar programs, include spelling, punctuation and grammar checkers. It's a bit pricey, tho... A freebee called EditPlus is an easy to use editor and has a decent spell checker built-in. There are others, but EditPlus has been one of my long-term favorites (it does html, cgi, perl, etc)! |

Before I found this toolbar, I typed everything in Word and then cut and pasted it into the message to prevent too many typos. This just seemed to make it a little easier. Richard |

"And theirs know weigh two Czech four homonym problems with you're spell Czech. Sew aisle just half too try knot two bee sew dam worried about the Czech and right good content." Just for s*its and grins I tried it with the Google spell check and guess what? "No spelling errors were detected". Richard |
