My Trace Inverter charges when plugged in to shore, but will not charge when I switch over on the road to bus.

It has worked in the past, just all of the sudden...

Any ideas?

Most likly is a ground as I had trouble the other dsy. I called Trace on their 800 line talked to a tecnition who with me at the bus talked me thru testing with a multimeter, so if all else fails call them. They seemed very happy to help. Larry 4905

Hi!

I have two questions.

Rob, it sounds as if your set up is similer to what I'm currently implementing using a Xantrex 4024MC with a Xantrex Pathmaker wired to both the house and coach banks. What's your setup look like?

Larry, not too long ago I spent over an hour on hold at Xantrex while waiting to get some advice from their technical services people. I was not aware (nor was I able to find) an 800 number for Xantrex technical services. Do you still have that 800 number for Xantrex technical services? If so I would greatly appreciate it if you were post it here so the next time I need their help I can save a bundle?

Thank you.

Michael, this is what I found on their support page.

"Americas

English, Spanish

1-800-670-0707

General Inquiry

Technical Inquiry

7:00am – 5:00pm
Pacific"

I hope this helps.

Rob, Michael and everybody concerned the number that I used is for heart interface corp.
1-800-446-6180, Kent, WN. In the visit with him Xantrax was mentioned so I figured they were all the same. Very good people, helped find the bad ground. Also the new tail lite switch fixed my problem with tail lites on all the time. Luke was big help.

Yes, Xantrex bought Heart out sometime in the recent past so that's logical.

Thanks Tom and Larry.

Problem solved!!!

Just so happen to notice a belt missing to the smaller alternator that is connected to the inverter batteries.

Put a new one on....problem solved.
