make sure it's 8v92 by looking at the pulley on front of engine,it's cast on the pulley...it sounds a little too good to be true..I'd be kinda suspicious |

CR, don't go over to the dark side! Just kiddin' If it is indeed an 8v92, make sure he's uprgraded the rads. MCIs can run a bit hot stock, but will overheat for sure with the bigger engine on stocks rads. Also, you will burn a lot more fuel than with your 8v71 Buff. Did he update the steering to integral? That was my biggest beef with my old MC8. Drove all over the road. If he truly did update the engine, rads, steering, etc. then I'm w/ TD... it's more like a $10k+ shell. Now back to your Buffalo... it was looking so cool (loved the diamond plate). You sure you want to start over?? bb PD4106-1175 |

You might want to inquire about the cooling system. If it really is an 8V92, rather than the typical 8V71, it may have heating problems. An 8V92 is a repower and should have larger radiators...will have to have larger rads with auto trans if the trans and engine are going to cool. Can you take it to some nearby hills and see what happens? Another way to tell whether it's an 8V92 or original 8V71 is does it have a turbo? Do both exhaust manifolds terminate on top of the engine into a turbo? If not, it's an 8V71, if they do, it could still be an 8V71T... The coach may be worth $5K even with the 8V71...worth a lot more with a good 8V82. A hitch, cruise and Jakes are advantages. I'd be interested in what you find out about the engine. If it's really an 8V92T, and it runs well, I'll take it if you don't want it! I've seen people that were honest, but misinformed on engines and such. How long has the coach been sitting? Don't forget to look at the usual bus buying markers. Rust, leaks, engine smoking when warm, HVAC working, function of components. |

The bus has been stored inside. I'm going to look at it in an hour from now. I'll probably buy it. I also will be able to leave it where it's at and work on it for just paying the heat and electric. and also put mine inside and live in it this winter while I'm working on it. |
