I got my Valterra 3 inch remote black dump installed today, and realize I'd better get my hands on a dump hose and it's required accessories pretty quick if I'm going to use the coach to stay in during next weekends Go Fast Games at the Royal Gorge. What do I need, from the twist lock fitting on my black tank dump valve, all the way to the ground fitting? Anyone with experience to share, I would appreciate your input. James - Walmart, or any RV shop has everything you'll need. The 3" hose generally comes with the connections attached. You'll probably want the 90 degree adapter and flange seal for some of the uppity campgrounds that require that. And I'd get an extra hose to use as an extension, when needed. Don't forget an extra garden hose to use -only- for waste tank and waste hose washing! And maybe some wet-wipes and hip boots, for that "first time major spill" that damned near drowns you? (Remember.... you have to yell "FIRE", because no-one will come to rescue you, if you yell "$HIT") Have fun. |

you can buy a complete hose set with the connectors at Wal Mart or Camping World. just buy the complete set with hose and gray connectors the first time. You will need the multisized adapter for the sewer outlet that comes with the gray or red connectors. Most parks have 3" sewer lines, but some have 4" and some require a flange adapter by park rules or local health rules. After the first purchase, I like the brown hose that is about $25 per 10 feet at Camping World and colapses and holds its size for storage or where you do not need 10 feet. I carry and extra 10 ft and a hose to hose connector for times when I need a longer reach. you will only need a five foot hose at most dump stations but many RV partks have the sewer line at the rear of the lot and buses need a long hose. |
