I think Jack has a lot of time on his hands now. On Jul 25, he only had 33 more shifts left to go!!

So, Jack, tell us... are you a retired little fireman now?

Actually, I am working a double shift today and tomorrow, off Sunday, then another double shift Monday and Tuesday. After that I will have 10 shifts left. 4 in October, 4 in November, and 2 in December. Having people owe you shifts is a great thing. My retirement is official at 8 AM, December 26

Hi Jack & Folks:
Jack I can see you are counting the days and shifts and I can remember my deceased father doing the same thing. He got 13 great years after his final day of work, before the Good Lord called him Home!!!!

At 62 years old and counting, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel yet, but at the same time I really enjoy working each day!! I like what I do and I like the folks I get to talk to each day on the phone and at our shop!!!!

I love my vegetable garden and flower beds and hopefuly getting out a day or two during the season to go crabbing, (which I did this week), watching or listening to NASCAR races, all of which is seasonal. Here in N.J. the winter does not leave much outdoor activity, which is what I enjoy, after a weeks work!!!!

As I continue to mature, I try to find reasons to be happy to be "STUCK" inside!! Toughest job I have ever tried to do, as I suffer from "CABIN FEVER", as I am sure many other folks do!!!

Well so much for me, but I am thrilled you have reached another "Milestone" in life and I wish you and your lovely wife "ALL THE BEST" in your retirement!!

Happy & SAFE!!! Bussin' to ALL!!!

Jack you will find that retirement is a wonderful thing.
Having a bus for a project is a great way to pass the retirement time that you will have.
I know as I have been retired for almost 2 years now.
Our GMC Buffalo is a fun project now that I have the time to tinker with it.
Also remember if you can not do it today don't worry there is always another day to get it done.

Ho, Busnutz,

Friend retired, and remarked that when he got up in the morning, he had nothing to do, but by the end of the day, it was only half done.

Yuh, and my bus is only half done!!!

I will be retired 10 years in Jan. I don't know where I found time to go to work. I have enough lined up for the next two years. It just don't pay anything. With helping my two sons and the grand kids they keep me busy. I told the wife I needed to get a job so I could rest up. Just take care of the body it still has a lot of miles left in it. See everyone at Busin 06.
