I was in Crawfordsville, Ind, yesterday at a football game, when two Prevosts Lemirage XLIIs pulled in, i was up in the top of the bleachers and could look down on their tops. On the rear caps of both, the satellite receivers were recessed about 4 to 6 inhces, both buses had roof top a/c units, the slimline Duotherm units, the Satellite Dome was about a inch lower than the a/c's, I was impressed, the recessed areas had scuppers to allow water drainage. Knowing that they were Prevosts, i was wondering if they make that rear cap or if it was a R&M cap? Anyone have any information! Those units have to save 6 inches of roof height!........Thanks! Pat |

These are converter modifications to Prevost caps. Usually used on the very tall busses, H-3's and XLII's.

Don't know about XL's - but my VIP chassis H3 has a recess on the rear cap that my Moto-Sat folds into making it pretty much flush w/ roof - also has a foil on it which keeps the rear end dust free - FWIW - Niles |

I was at the RV show in Hershey a couple of weeks ago....A company had a satellite dish system that is flat and only 5 inches high. Can also be attached to roof racks on an SUV.
Looked like a really nice unit. Don't know how well it actually works. tracvision.com |
