How much ATF is needed to refill a V730 in a TDH5300 with a 6V71N for a fluid change? |

According to the book, 34qts are are required after draining and 36qts after overhaul.

You probably know this, but you can alternatively use motor oil in these... C-4 spec. i.e. 30wt. Rotella, Delo, etc. |

Brian, That's what alot of the techs recommend. The clark transmission guys recommend it also. They tell me that the the pins and gears last longer with engine oil. I believe the next fluid change I am going to change to 30wt. engine oil.
