I prefer not to use roof air. Has anyone found an air condition that works in the basement that can use the floor duct to cool the bus adequately? My MCI9 floor is completely stripped. Thanks! Daryl

Although ducting is a geat idea ,
you might get away with out some .

We use the orig 06 condenser compartment as the Dual basement bay.

The delivery air , all of it ,
blows up under the table in the main salon.

It blasts up to the overhead , if the table leaves are closed.

The coach is most likely to be used foward , either driving , or coolkin eating , sitting arround , during the day.

The daytime is the time you need max AC as the insolation is so high .

In the evening , with the sun down , cooling loads , even if its hot , is easy,,one unit.

WE only use about 10 ft of the floor duct , but in a reverse manner.

The floor duct is connected to the cieling return from as high as is practical & easy to hide .

This recirculates the air ,
and you MUST ,
as an AC may only cool the air 15 deg on a pass,
if its 105 and the sun is out ,
you will definatly want a couple of air passes.

With stock windows and stock insulation ,
having the 2 units blow only foward ,

the max air avil is where its needed durin daylight

And as the air delivery ,AC unit and return are foward ,
less noise comes back to the sleeping area , when not too much cool is needed.
