For land or water campers the hardest part to get up to speed on is living on batteries.

There is some usefull info on the web ,and a few old good books , but I would like to recomend the TOME on DC and batts.

Nigel Calder's "Boatowners Mechanical & Electrical Manual"3rd edition,
is by far the best presentation on the requirements of a usefull setup.

While not all can appreciate 100 pages on batts , a quick read will at least let you know the basic requirements , and why your batts fail at 2 rather than 10 years.

Wish this book was avilable 40 years ago when I started building offshore boats!

At your local library ,
